“Canavarlar Sofrası” which is against pleasure, consumption, and fascism

One of the National Feature-Length Competition Films of the Golden Orange “Canavarlar Sofrası” met the audience. The gala of “Canavarlar Sofrası” which is the first feature-length film of Ramin Matin was held at the AKM Aspendos Hall. The film attracting attention with its extraordinary theme and courageous scenes considers a dark future.

The director of the film Ramin Matin, the performers İbrahim Selim, Pınar Töre, Tuğrul Tülek, Gizem Erdem, the scriptwriter Kamdine Khosrowkhavar, the cinematographer Deniz Eyüpoğlu, the producers Emine Yıldırım and Oğuz Kaynak and the music operator Barış Diri participated in the interview held after the film.

The director Ramin Metin having replied the questions in the interview moderated by Ceyda Aşar said: “The world that the film created is a place under the dominance of totalitarianism and fascism. The film also has some sections from our present lives because we experience a period where cultural and national identities have lost. The world in which we live gradually becomes a place where the inside of everything is emptied and terrifying things become normal. Our target is to disturb the audience. I hope that we have succeeded.”
